Joys of Teaching

This week has been more challenging cause the anchor teacher of my class was in the States for training. So I kinda took over with a relief teacher and an attachment teacher. Though it's been challenging, I'm glad everyday went pass pretty smoothy. We did have a few struggles here and there. But nothing we can't handle. :) Really thank God!! :)

My class was on our way back to class after softplay. And two of my kids (who are partners) had a little conversation. Boy A has his littles obsessions (balls, bottle caps, empty can drinks, etc.) and today his obsession was CDs. He brought 2 CDs to school today and insisted on taking them while we walked back to class. So we were on our way to class and this is our conversation...

Me: When we get back to Smurf 3P, we will have circle time, art and craft, snack, assembly, and then we go...
Boy A and Boy B: Go home!!!
Me: Boy A, we keep the CDs when we go back to class okay?
Boy A: Don't want keep!
Boy B: Boy A, if you press the bell (in the lift), no more CD!
Boy A: (Looks at me) CD?! (Turns back to Boy B) Don't press the bell...

Haha!!! Though they are partners and classmates, our kids with ASD have social difficulties. And for them to have such a conversation is just too cute!!! I love my kids!!! :):):)
