So since it was saturday. We kinda had the whole day to ourselves! :D
There were a few things we planned out - life is good festival, quincy market then duck tour. That was the original plan. We took the 'T' down to Prudential to buy the duck tour tickets, which cost us $28 each. A bit ex but we thought since duck tour originated from Boston, then we should take it. After that, we headed to life is good festival!
I tell you, the festival was the highlight of the day! it was the best festival i've ever been to! seriously. so many games and freebies. and the festival was child-friendly, dog-friendly, disabled-friendly, adult-friendly, youth-friendly and senior-friendly. SERIOUS! there were people in wheechairs having fun. there were people doing sign language on stage when there was a life performance. both young and old and non-human! I wish there was something like this in Singapore!!!! Oh well.... All the photos are on FB!!! :D you'll see what i mean. Anyway, life is good was founded by a guy named jake who wanted to help the needy. So all the money they earned from the merchanise to the food to the games to the donations all go to the needy in Boston. There were so many sponsors too!!! There were free 1l nalgene bottles, ben & jerry's new ice cream, stickers, drinks, balloons. Many many stuff lor!!!! Can this ever happen in Singapore????? i hope soon la.... So i bought a t-shirt and a nalgene bottle cause the free ones were all given away already. It really was the best part of the day. So good that we skipped shopping to stay at the festival longer!
oh, i met my new "bf" at the festival too! his name is CHAPSTICK GUY!!!! hahaha. I first met him when i was sitting down on the grass, waiting for the live band to go on stage. He was working i think. His job was the walk around and advertise for the wireless company called verizon by giving out free chapsticks, which are lip balm. So he called out for me and threw me one! then he walked on. Thought he was pretty good looking then. haha. so, i met him again and daringly asked if i could take a photo with him. hahah. he agreeed!!!! WOOHOOOOO!!! We took a few photos and he took a step closer to me leh!! :D Chatted for awhile and he passed me this card of his church and told us to go for service if we wanted to. How nice right? he's a christian too!!!!! hahahahaha. i have a photo of him and me in my fb. go see kkkk??? :D
by the time it was time for duck tour, it was cold and we were really tired. I felt so bad for falling asleep during the tour. But i still managed to catch some things he said. the whole history of boston was shared in that 1.5 hrs. It was pretty cool i must say. :D
That kinda rounds up the day i think. hahaha. it was great! really great i think!
