Reflections

I've been back from Boston for about 1 week now. My body's trying to adapt to everything now, especially the food. Haven't had Asian food for too long that i've been having diarrhea after every meal. hahaha. I kinda think it's good cause i won't gain as much weight. hahaha. My mother mentioned earlier just now that i will gain weight at the rate i'm eating. :D I've been eating a lil more cause i miss Singapore food too much. Anyways, i haven't felt too much of jetlag unlike a lot of my friends. I think i sleep a lot that's why. Well, it'll be the first time tomorrow that i wake up before 11am. I'll be heading to school to watch cohort 3's drama performance!!! YEAHNESS!!!

Can't believe it's been a year since i started my bachelor's with Wheelock! So far it's been the best experience i've had. The professors, the fellow colleagues, the courses we take - wonderful! Of course we still complain cause nothing will be good enough. But thinking about the program seriously, i think that Wheelock has done an amazing jog in formulating everything for us in Singapore. I mean action research may not be the best course they can offer, but hey, it is necessary for us to think long-term and think far. We can't just learn to be teachers and that's it right? We still gotta be advocates of change in the early childhood field. (P.S. on the side note, i'm inspired to post about what i learnt in Sue's presentation at Student Organisation portal later.) Do take a look at it when you're free.

If you've seen facebook, my friends and i have been talking about Boston non-stop. We still can't get over the fact that we won't be able to be in Boston for at least a year. And many of us are planning to go back at most 5 years later, when there's the reunion. WE WILL GO BACK SOON!!!! <3

Ben just had his HSSFOC. Looking through the photos makes me miss school camps! The group cheers, the cheer fights, the games, the bonding, the latenight sleeps, the screaming, the running, getting to know new friends... man, how i wish i were in a local uni. Just so that i can go for FOC. haha. Silly eh? but i miss being silly and crazy and having loads of fun! glad Ben had loads of fun. the videos were hilarious! BIMBO CHEER!!! hahaha. couldn't stop laughing! for those who still get to have school camps, please enjoy them while you can. Once uni is over, the camps are over too....................
