For those who don't know, I'm in Hong Kong with my family. Well, the purpose was to visit my granddad. But the purpose has already changed. My granddad has passed away. We're here for the funeral. It is very saddening to know that the one we all love is no longer with us. But I am still glad that he no longer has to suffer from all the pain and discomfort because of all the illnesses. And I am also glad that I will one day see him again in heaven, enjoying eternal life with my Lord and Saviour. After all, that's what matters most.

Thanks to all who have shown their concern in every way possible. Prayers, words of comfort, just asking how we are and many more. They all mean so much to my family and I. We appreciate it so much.

For those who are experiencing or going to experience the lost of a loved one, I understand how that feels like. The thought of the absence of the loved one is simply horrifying. But be rest assured that you're not alone experiencing it. Friends and FAMILY will always be with you.

My mum has told my siblings and I to prepare our eulogy for the wake service. It got us thinking and talking about the things that Gong Gong (aka granddad) has done with us and for us. Just to share some and to remember him...
1. When we were much younger (maybe when I was like 5 or 6), Gong Gong brought my cousins and I out to the supermarket to shop. This was when my family was staying in Hong Kong and our parents had to work. Well, to be exact, there were 5 of us kids and an elderly man. So being very naughty kids, all 5 of us wanted to get onto the trolley and so we did. We were playing in the trolley and finally, it toppled. Gong Gong trying to save us, got his foot seriously injured cause the trolley fell on his foot. He had to be in a cast or something for quite some time. He didn't scold us or blame us. Just asked if we were okay.
2. Each time Gong Gong came to visit us in Hong Kong, he would buy expensive food for us - shark's fins, abalone, herbs. He would also give us money to buy stuff that we want. And he would pay to bring us to expensive restaurants and hotels for meals and buffets.
3. Yi Li shared this with us. Gong Gong would want to leave Singapore earlier so that Yi Li can have his room back and can sleep properly. (Gong Gong used Yi Li's room when he's in Singapore.) He would rather give up time to rest in Singapore than to let my brother sleep uncomfortably.

There are many many more things that he has done for us and with us. I think if I continue typing, I would end up crying buckets for tears.

This post is dedicated to the granddad whom we've loved all our lives.
Gong Gong, we love you.
